Ruth Keller

Ruth L. Keller, age 85, of Chambersburg, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Menno Haven Nursing Home. Born May 6, 1928 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Harvey N. and Ruth E. Heintzelman Keller.
A 1947 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School, Ms. Keller worked most of her life as a secretary for 28 years at WCHA Radio station and for 16 years at the Veteran’s Affairs Office, retiring in 1993. She also volunteered as the secretary for Gospel Tide for 17 years. Ms. Keller was a member of the Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church. She enjoyed organizing bus trips for her Sunday School Class and reading.
Surviving are three siblings, Mary Jane Brechbill of Chambersburg, PA, Janet McCleary of Chambersburg, PA, and Samuel Keller (wife Joan) of Chambersburg, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Seilhamer, a brother, Glenn Keller, and a twin brother in infancy, Harvey Keller, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center Street, Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Kevin Witter and Rev. Larry Locke will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Gospel Tide Broadcasting Association, PO Box 399, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
