Sally Ann Sauserman, 69, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday, August 6, in the Orrstown Personal Care Home. Born on March 3, 1948 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late James Orville Barnes and Florence Marie Barnes.
Sally graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School and earned her Associates degree from Penn State University. She was retired from the Chambersburg Hospital, where she had worked for 23 years as a physical therapy assistant. A member of Calvary United Methodist Church, she was also a proud member of the Penn State University Alumni Association.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David W. Sauserman, whom she married on May 20, 1967; two sons, Michael D. Sauserman (wife Dora Lynn) of Elkhart, IN and Matthew J. Sauserman of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Hunter James Sauserman and Kelly Marie Sauserman, both of Elkhart, IN, and Gage Fischer Sauserman of Chambersburg; brother William T. Barnes of Greencastle; sister Mary June Spadaccino of Chambersburg; and a half-sister Nancy Farrell of Elkton, MD.
A memorial service to honor Sally’s life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Dr, Fayetteville, PA17222, with Pastor Suzanne Elliott officiating. The family will receive friends in the church social hall following the service.
