Sally Vaughn

Sally Evans Vaughn, 86, of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at The Inn at Luther Ridge. Born July 16, 1935 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl L. and Ada M. Pfeiffer Evans.
Sally was a 1953 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. He was employed as a secretary at the District Justice’s Office in Chambersburg until her retirement. She then worked as a hostess at Mallard’s Restaurant and Penn National Off-Track Wagering in Chambersburg. Sally was a member of 2nd Lutheran Church and the BPO Elks Lodge #600, both in Chambersburg. She also participated in “Brenda’s Angels” which was a group of retirees who sang at local nursing homes.
She is survived by two children, Steve Vaughn (Toni) of Robertsdale, and Jacquie Jann (Doug Wile) of Fort Loudon; one granddaughter, Ashleigh Vaughn; her great grandson, Spencer Vaughn; and her sister, Nancy Grant of Lititz, PA. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Vaughn; sister, Doris “Jingle” Evans; and brother, LaRoy “Bud” Evans.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Society at bestfriends.org.
