Sandra Freet

Sandra J. Freet, age 72, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center, Chambersburg. She was born on August 3, 1943 in Indian Head, MD to the late LeRoy Gates and Willa Cruise Gates. Sandy was a founding and faithful member of Greencastle Baptist Church. An avid country and gospel music fan, she also enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husand, Bob, in their motor home. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Freet, whom she married on March 3, 1998; three children, Keith (Karla) Daley, Julie (Doug) Wagaman, all of Greencastle, and Sheila Daley of Chambersburg; two brothers, Lee Gates of Waldorf, MD and James Gates of Inidan Head; one sister, Judy (Larry) Newman of Waldorf; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services to honor Sandy’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 21, in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with Pastor Don Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
