Scott Rosenberry, 43, of 60 East Creek Road, Newburg, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, December 7, 2011 at home. He was born December 16, 1967 in Chambersburg. Scott attended the Franklin Learning Center and several area adult day care centers. He loved children, finger puppets, animals, and watching television.
Scott is survived by his parents, Marjorie Hamsher and her life partner Larry Newman of Chambersburg and Lynden Rosenberry and wife Dottie of Florida; his brother, Tucker Rosenberry and wife Janet of Culpeper, VA; his sister Tabitha Andrews and husband David of Salisbury, MD; two nephews, Bretton and Tristan Rosenberry; and a niece, Carlye Andrews. He is also survived by his provider parents Kevin and Bonnie Schaeffer and their children Kevin Jr. and Danielle.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, December 12, 2011 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:30-11:30 AM Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Scott’s memory may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Country Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 or at www.cvas-pets.org.
