Sharon A. (Williams) Henry, 71, of St. Thomas, PA, passed away Saturday morning, November 12, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services in Chambersburg. Born November 15, 1944 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Richard Hill and Ruth Hussong Hill Cullison, and a step-daughter of the late James Cullison. Sharon was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and was employed early in her life at Dunkin Donuts and the former Stanley Company. She worked for many years as a waitress at area restaurants including Johnnie’s Family Restaurant and 30 West Family Restaurant in Chambersburg. She was a former member of The Open Door Church. She loved bowling and golfing, and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and knitting. Her husband, Bruce L. Henry, whom she married August 18, 1997, preceded her in death on September 16, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandi Mellott and husband Randy of Chambersburg; four step-children, Pamela Clopper and husband Michael of Carlisle, Christine Fulmer and husband Dennis, Dawn Nakoski and husband Christopher, and Michael Henry and wife Rebecca, all of Chambersburg; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five siblings, Thomas Hill and wife Dot of Scotland, Richard S. Hill, II and wife Gladys of Marion, Nina Hill of Chambersburg, Linda Wagner of Shippensburg, and Jeff Hill and wife Lori of Warrenton, VA; and her former spouse, Duane L. “Red” Williams of Shippensburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Duane Williams, II on July 16, 2011 and David Williams on February 19, 1992.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Chambersburg Bible Church, 810 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Garry Yoder will officiate. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
