Shirley Lehman

Shirley M. Lehman, age 69, of Shippensburg, PA; passed away in her home on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Born in Chambersburg on October 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ralph A. Peters, Sr. and Vera E. Perry Peters.
Shirley worked at both Wilson College and at Menno Haven in Food Service, retiring from Menno Haven in 2005. Shirley was a member of the Red Hat Society and King Street Church. She enjoyed shopping, going to yard sales, and swimming.
Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Harold Lehman, whom she married July 30, 1961; her children, Tammy S. Kirk (husband John) of St. Thomas, Brian H. Lehman (wife Karen) of Newville, and Lisa K. Harper (husband Robert) of Chambersburg; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Ralph A. Peters, Jr. (Donna), Jo-Ann L. Carbaugh, Ronald J. Peters, and Dennis E. Peters (wife Rose); and a sister – in – law, Pat Peters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene P. Peters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker and Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Thursday.
