Shirley Miller

Shirley M. Miller, 82, of Chambersburg, PA, died Friday, September 20, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 5, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Helen Shearer Stair. Shirley worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at South Mountain Restoration Center until her retirement in 1993.

She is survived by her son, John B. Snyder and wife Mary of Chambersburg, grandson, John Michael Snyder of Chambersburg; two step-grandchildren, Dr. Justin Watson of State College, PA, and Amy Harris of Chambersburg; five great-grandchildren, Christian and Zachary Price of Chambersburg, Travis Toms of Harrisburg, PA, Blake Harris of Chambersburg, and Sadie Watson of State College, PA; two sisters, Charlotte Colehouse of Hanover, PA, and Eva Slayman of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Clyde Stair of Greencastle, PA, and Lloyd Stair of Highland Falls, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Snyder, Sr.; granddaughter, Shari Price; and sister, Patricia Koontz.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
