Stella Wadel

Stella M. Wadel, age 94, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Sunday, March 1, 2015. Born in Chambersburg on January 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late G. Clyde and Bessie Stine Myers.
A Lead Secretary at Letterkenny Army Depot for 32 years, Mrs. Wadel retired in 1976. She and her late husband were active in the Toy Mission for a number of years. Mrs. Wadel was an exceptional cook, devoted wife and homemaker.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred K. Wadel in 2008 and six siblings, Elder Myers, Walter Myers, Gail Myers, Donald Myers, Martha Ann Dile, and Carrol Leroy Myers.
Funeral services in honor of Mrs. Wadel will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10 AM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Chaplain Brenda Doyle will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg, PA.
