Stephanie Allen

Stephanie Marie Allen, age 75, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away in the Chambersburg Hospital on Friday, January 10, 2014. Born October 24, 1938 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Pearl Mercurio Giandalia.
Mrs. Allen began her career as a keypunch operator for Sears Roebuck Co. in Chicago, moving on to Hooper-Holmes in Basking Ridge, NJ in 1975, where she later retired as an assistant Vice-President in 2004 after 29 years of service. Mrs. Allen enjoyed family and hosting fantastic family banquets, she also enjoyed cooking, however she shared a passion and quest in life along with her sister, to find the perfect purse. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Robert Warren Allen whom she married on January 11, 1957; four children, Peggy Ann Napolitano (Wayne) of Branchburg, NJ, David Joseph Allen (Mary) of Media, PA, Robert Michael Allen (Lisa) of Hagerstown, MD, and Peter Lee Allen (Wendy) of Ellicott City, MD; ten grandchildren, Michael, Allison, Elizabeth, Grace, Sophie, Jake, Harry, Mark, Ben, and Max; and her sister, Mary Ann Timney (Thomas) of Freeport, PA.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2 PM, where Rev. Fr. Paul J. Theisz will celebrate. The family will receive friends three hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Menno Haven Benevolent Fund, 2011 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
