Steven E. Clevenger, age 58, of St. Thomas, PA, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Born December 20, 1965, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Paul E. and Hazel I. Brindle Clevenger.
Steve was a 1984 graduate of James Buchanan High School and the Franklin County Vo-Tech School. Steve worked for R.F. Berkheimer Auto Paints and Supply in York, PA. An automobile enthusiast, Steve enjoyed drag racing, antique cars, and riding his Harley with his wife; however his most cherished time was spent with his family and competing in Jello eating contests with his granddaughter, Brinlee.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Tracy S. Fisher Clevenger, whom he married on August 20, 1988; two children, Jessica Hillier (husband Ian) of Hershey, PA and Zane Clevenger (wife Hannah) of Greencastle, PA; and two granddaughters, Brinlee and Leah Clevenger.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastors Matt Kayhart and Tim Bremmer will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 5 – 9 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Steve’s name be made to Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, 400 University Dr., Hershey, PA 17033 or to Penn State Health Rehabilitation, 1135 Old West Chocolate Ave., Hummelstown, PA 17036.
