Steven Saum

Steven D. Saum, 55, of Chambersburg, PA, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 26, 1957 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late George R., Sr. and LuRae Ferry Saum. He had been employed for twenty years at Lowes, working at stores in Chambersburg, Shippensburg, and Waynesboro. He was a fan of Dale Earnhart, Sr. and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, spending time at the beach and assembling model cars.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Fickes Saum whom he began dating on March 17, 1995 and married on March 17, 2006; two children, Jasmine and Jeffrey; four step-children, Joseph Highlands, Andrea Burke, Kayla Schultz, and Bryan Robinson; four grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Vanderau and husband Rick of Chambersburg, Lorri Saum of Fayetteville; and a brother, George “Chip” Saum, Jr. and wife Debbie of Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Marlin Fleck officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday December 26, 2012 at the funeral home.
