Stoey D. Leedy, 64, of Chambersburg, PA, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 2, 1948 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Harry D. and Edythe Eloise Whorley Leedy of Chambersburg. Stoey served for six years with the US Army Reserve. He was a Co-Owner of the former Leedy Lumber Company in Chambersburg and was employed for the past twelve years at Nitterhouse Concrete in Chambersburg. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Amanda Vasquez and husband Raymond of Chambersburg; three granddaughters, Alachell, Azaria, and Raylynne; his former wife of many years, Donna Morter Leedy; two sisters, Kelly Izer and husband Dave of Chambersburg and Kim Hissong and husband Greg of St. Thomas; and two brothers, Alan Leedy and wife Pam of Chambersburg and H. Donald Leedy and wife Judy of Upper Strasburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Chambersburg First Church of God with Rev. Lawrence Metzler officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11:00 AM Saturday at the church.
