Sue Day

Sue Moyer Day, age 69, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center on Sunday, January 24, 2016. Born May 19, 1946, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Catherine Fetters Moyer.
A 1964 graduate of CASHS, Sue went on the earn her bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University in 1978 and her Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut University in 1990. She was a marriage and family therapist and the former owner of Pathways Counseling Services, which she founded in 1995 and operated until 2005. Sue enjoyed gardening, hiking, camping, and entertaining at her home.
Surviving is her husband, Patrick Day, whom she married July 27, 1981; two children, George Patterson (wife Anita) of Aiken, SC and Crystal Mitchell of Mechanicsburg, PA; and four grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Patterson.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 3 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Diane Salter will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in her name to Grane Hospice, 4 Lemoyne Dr., suite 201, Lemoyne, PA 17043.
