Susan Borden

Susan Elaine Borden, 58, of Chambersburg, died Thursday evening, January 16, 2014 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 30, 1955 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Joanne B. Hershey Washabaugh. She was employed for many years at the Orrstown Senior Center and for the past eight years managed the Waynesboro Senior Center. Susan was a member of King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Borden, whom she married June 13, 1976; her son, Ryan M. Borden of Mechanicsburg; her daughter, Kristen J. Bobb and husband Alex of Chambersburg; and two brothers, James Washabaugh and wife Susan and Alan Washabaugh and wife Connie, all of Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Paul B. Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
