Tammy Rock

Tammy J. Rock, 45, of Chambersburg, PA, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 6, 1967 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Richard E. and Patsy Hobbs Rock of Chambersburg. Tammy grew up in Pond Bank and was a 1985 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She went on to earn a degree in Phlebotomy from Hagerstown Community College. She was employed as a Phlebotomist at both Gettysburg and Waynesboro Hospitals and was last employed at the Kidney Dialysis Center in Chambersburg. A member of the Fayetteville Church of God, Tammy enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Ashley and partner Brittany, as well as her nieces and nephew. She also liked watching the deer feed at her home.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Ashley E. Eckenrode and partner, Brittany Miller of Greencastle; her sister, Kathy S. Rock of Fayetteville; two nieces, Tessa Francisco and Krista Dangel; a nephew, Dalton Rock-Armstrong; her Maternal Grandmother, Helen Hobbs of Fayetteville; her Paternal Grandfather, Richard Rock, Sr. of Chambersburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 4, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Staci Geesaman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Quincy, PA. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
