Terri Lynne Howland, age 64, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away unexpectedly of a brain Aneurisym at the Chambersburg Hospital on December 9, 2014. Born July 22, 1950, in Jackson, MI, she is the daughter of Hugh and Donna L. LaLonge Howland.
A 1968 graduate of Brooklyn High School, Brooklyn MI, Terri Lynne went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Huntington College, and her Master’s degree from Penn State in 1989 in School Administration, where she was converted to a Penn State Fan from a Michigan fan. A dedicated student, Terri Lynne was only 6 credit hours away from earning her doctorate degree in school administration. She was currently employed as a Senior Vice President of Wealth Management for Merrill Lynch for the last 23 years; prior to that she was an AFLAC Associate, a teacher for the Chambersburg Area School District, Music and Youth director for King Street Church, and owner and operator of the Creative Collections in downtown Chambersburg. She enjoyed golf and music, and was an accomplished pianist and soloist. She also enjoyed singing in the Mercersburg Area Community Chorus, spending time with family and photography. Terri Lynne was known for her generosity, compassion, and entrepreneurial spirit. She developed her own line of greeting cards called Heart to Heart Greeting Cards; she also was in the process of writing a children’s Book. Terri Lynne was a member of Otterbein Church in Waynesboro and the Merrill Lynch Chairman’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two siblings, Kristine K. Hittler (husband James) of Huntington, IN and Brian H. Howland of York, ME; two nephews, Joshua H. Hittler (wife Emily) and Zechariah J. Hittler (wife Lindsay) all of Huntington, IN; and her cherished great niece Eva Rose Hittler.
Funeral services to celebrate Terri Lynne’s life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11 AM at Otterbein Church, 801 Park St., Waynesboro, PA 17268; where Pastor Mike Newman will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service at the above church and address on Friday. Interment will follow later in Brooklyn, MI.
