Terry L. Heck, 69, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 11, 1946 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late John Paul and Margaret Kriner Heck.
Terry was a 1965 graduate of CASHS. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served honorably as a river boat patrolman in Vietnam. Following his service, Terry earned his associates degree and CPA. He was employed as a laborer for PPG Industries for 35 years until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 842, the Hume McNeal Byers AmVETS Post 224, and the Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, all in Chambersburg. Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his daughter throughout her softball careers in high school, college, and beyond.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Theresa J. “Tess” Heck, whom he married on March 26, 1977; his daughter, Andrea Linn “Andi” Heck of Whitehall, PA; five siblings, Margaret Rice (Harvey) of Ellicott City, MD, Pauline Oyler (Kenneth) of Fayetteville, John Paul Heck, Jr. of Hallam, PA, Larry Heck (Peggy) of Fayetteville, and David Franklin Heck (Deb) of Lancaster, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Eloise Shanley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
