Terry L. Starliper, 65, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2014 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born December 4, 1948 in Clear Spring, MD, he was a son of the late Harry Wilson and Grace Viola Eshelman Starliper. Terry retired from the former James River Company in Chambersburg where he had worked for 32 years. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1191 of Waynesboro. An avid NASCAR fan, Terry liked fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret A. Wagner Starliper, whom he married January 25, 1969; two daughters, Lisa Kendall and husband Harold and Misty Horn and husband Keith, all of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Cody, Cory, and Colin; a great-granddaughter, Isabella; six brothers, Gary, Tim, Rick, and Harry, all of Hagerstown, Edgar of Greencastle, and Ronnie of Mercersburg; three sisters, Shirley Starliper and Marie Funk, both of Hagerstown, and Phyllis Warner of Clear Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lee Starliper, II; and three brothers, Wilson, Donnie, and Earl.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Lester Swope officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday and from Noon-1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
