Thelma Hess

Thelma M. Hess, 79 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2015 in the emergency room of Chambersburg Hospital. Born March 31, 1935 in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Julia Mumma Hann. She was a 1953 graduate of the former Hustontown High School and went on to graduate from the former Chambersburg School of Business. Mrs. Hess was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. Her husband, Guy M. Hess, whom she married September 14, 1957, preceded her in death on June 10, 2009.

She is survived by three children, Kenneth R. Hess, Nadine K. Stoler, and Douglas A. Hess, all of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Stephanie R. Stoler, Kristen R. Stoler, and Kaitlyn E. Hess; and a brother, Melvin Hann and wife Beulah of Harrisonville. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Lester, and Guy Hann.

The family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Services and interment in Norland Cemetery will be private.
