Theodore Robert “Ted” Weber, age 89, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Manor Care. Born in Hagerstown, MD on January 16, 1932, he was the son of the late Harry Clinton and Georgia Gossard Weber.
Mr. Weber was a graduate of Hagerstown Junior College. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Ted continued his service working at Letterkenny Army Depot, and retiring as a Management Analyst in November 1988 after 38 years total service. Mr. Weber loved to read, he was a student of the Bible, having read it 26 times. He also enjoyed genealogy, enhancing photos on the computer, watching old movies, and building things.
Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Cynthia Ferry Weber, whom he married on September 22, 1990; three children, Teddi N. Weber of Clearspring, MD, Kristina N. Weber of Clearspring, MD, and Patrick B. Weber (wife Claire) of Boonsboro, MD; two grandchildren, Lily R. and Leo W. Weber; a sister, A. Elaine Skoog of Hagerstown, MD; his in-laws, Earl R. and Doris F. Ferry; and his beloved cat, Tirzah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his previous wife, Evelyn Fix Weber in 1978; a sister, Bettie Jean Frock; and two half siblings, Evelyn Grimm and Harold Shriver.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 11 AM in Salem Cemetery, Letterkenny Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Murray B. Stevens will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the HOPE Center, 125 N. Prospect St, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
