Thomas Case

Thomas M. Case, age 95, of Chambersburg, PA; passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011, in Menno Haven Nursing Home. Born July 4, 1916 in Boonton, NJ, he was th son of the late Robert M. and Ola M. Young Case.

After 15 years as an Production Engineer of aircraft radio equipment, Tom retired in 1981 from Aircraft Radio Corporation, a subsidiary of Cessna Aircraft. Tom was a member of the Boonton YMCA and the Boonton United Methodist Church, where he had been a member since 1930 and enjoyed singing in the choir; In addition he spent his free time fishing, watching sports, painting pictures, and reading financial reports.

Surviving are two daughters; Patricia Shafer of Chambersburg, PA; Judith Scilipoti (husband Michael) of Fayetteville, PA; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Irene Walsh of Sparta, NJ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen N. Lockwood Case.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Penn Hall Chapel, Chambersburg, PA and at the Boonton United Methodist Church Boonton, NJ. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his name to the Menno Haven Pastoral Fund, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to Heartland Hospice, 1200 Walnut Bottom Rd Ste 302, Carlisle, PA 17015.
