Thomas L. Ecelberger, 75, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Monday afternoon, May 30, 2016 at his home. Born May 25, 1941 in Big Run, PA, he was a son of the late James and Lucille Davis Ecelberger. A Precision Welder, Tom was employed for 31 years with Steamfitters UA Local #602 prior to his retirement. He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. An avid sportsman, Tom was a fan of the Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins. He also enjoyed coaching Little League in southern Maryland for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing and had a great love for his dog, Sydney.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Seger Ecelberger; two sons, Drew V. Ecelberger and wife Tracey of Fayetteville and Patrick G. Ecelberger and wife Jean of Washington, DC; two granddaughters, Shaeli and Elise Sanders; and a grandson, Thomas Paul Ecelberger, expected to be born in October. He is also survived by two brothers, James Ecelberger and wife Judy and Dennis Ecelberger and wife Mary Jane; five sisters, Sue Passmore and husband Marty, Sharon Sutter, Sally Wells and husband Albert, Diane Bish and husband Ken, and Lorie Beercheck; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws Freda Ecelberger, Fred and Doris Lohr, Randall and Donna Jean Scott and Sonja Swanson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Rick Noll will officiate. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
