Thomas Harrelson

Thomas L. Harrelson, age 70, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Born September 12, 1946, in Chambersburg, he was the son of E. Jane Harrelson and the late Leon Harrelson.

A 1964 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Tom went to study music and english literature at West Chester College. After college, Tom went on to work for I. Goldberg Apparel in Philadelphia, PA for over 38 years. An artistic spirit, Tom enjoyed gardening, flowers, and cooking; he was also an accomplished pianist and organist.

In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by two sisters, Brenda J. Hess (companion Gerald Lininger) of Chambersburg, PA and Teresa L. Cifone (husband Martin) of Bel Air, MD; two nieces, Natiś Cifone of Bel Air, MD and Ashley J. Mascari (husband Joseph IV) of Aberdeen, MD; and a great – niece, Angelina J. Mascari and a great – nephew, Joseph Mascari V.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, January 23, 2017, at 10 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA, where the Very Rev. Luis R. Rodriguez will celebrate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 22, 2017, from 6 – 8 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202. Interment will follow the Mass in Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery.
