Thomas McClure

Thomas R. McClure, 85, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at his home. Born July 4, 1936 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Harold and Ora Stouffer McClure.

A US Army veteran, Thomas served honorably from 1957-1962. He was employed as a machine operator at TB Woods for 17 years. He then worked at Ventura Foods in Chambersburg until he retired in 1999. After his retirement, he worked as a greeter at the Chambersburg Walmart. Thomas was a member of the American Legion Post 46 in Chambersburg. He loved to golf with his brothers and spend time with his family. He was also an avid Penn State fan.

Thomas is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Betty J. McClure, three children, Ron McClure and wife Maria of Gaithersburg, MD, Beverly McClure of Chambersburg, and Kevin McClure and wife Bonnie of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Jamie Martin (Russell), Timothy McClure (Bobbi), Abigail McClure and Gabriel McClure; five great grandchildren, Kara, Hailey, Kamryn, Kye and Wyatt; and three brothers, Jim McClure, Dan McClure, and Bill McClure. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by three siblings, Janet McClure, Paul McClure and John McClure; and his son-in-law, James Bracken.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
