Thomas Storey

Thomas G. Storey, Sr., 72, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 27, 1948 in Portage, PA, he was a son of the late George E. and Bernadette Boley Storey. A graduate of the Portage High School, he was employed for 30 years at the former James River Company in Chambersburg. He later retired from JLG Industries. He was a member of Edenville United Methodist Church where he enjoyed helping with anything that needed to be done for the church. He was a life member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #842 and was a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, both in Chambersburg. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines and equipment as well as spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice M. VanEiken Storey, whom he married January 15, 1972; four sons, Thomas G. Storey, Jr. (fiancé Penny Adolini) of Chambersburg, Art R. Storey of St. Thomas, Joe E. Storey of Chambersburg, and Edward W. Storey (wife Alayna) of Pickens, SC; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, William, and Eugene.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 28, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Summer Love Bair will officiate. Interment will follow at Brechbill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until services begin at 1:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
