Thomas J. Webb, 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday morning, May 8, 2021 at his home. Born February 24, 1938 in Durand, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Clarence Webb and Elva G. Richardson Caturia. Mr. Webb earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Florida. He served honorably with the United States Army for 22 years, retiring in 1982 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was then employed for 13 years with General Electric. He enjoyed volunteering at his adopted grandson Zae’s schools and followed him all through his 12 years of schooling.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine L. Calhoun Webb, whom he married June 15, 1968; his son, George K. Webb (Linda); his granddaughter, Amanda; his grandson Zae Kirk; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hadley, and Hyatt. He is also survived by three sisters, Doris, Mary (Jerry), and Jane as well as two brothers, William (Elaine) and James (Shirley). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Patey and a brother, John.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor John Bayer will officiate. Interment with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
