Trieste Memmi Brandt, 97, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 8, 2014 at Menno Haven. Born July 3, 1917 in Robertsdale, PA, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Grace Facchinei Memmi. A 1936 graduate of the Orbisonia High School, she was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Tracey Fashions in Chambersburg, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and her hobbies included knitting, dancing, and bowling. Her first husband, Harold Reed, preceded her in death in 1973 and her second husband, Ray H. Brandt, preceded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by three children, Edwin E. Reed and wife Donna of Upper Strasburg, B.J. Reed and husband Thomas Sabo of Chambersburg, and Ronald R. Reed and wife Vickie of Birmingham, AL; four grandchildren, Edwin E. Reed, Jr., Troy M. Gerhart, Sondra L. Reed, and Rhonda R. Wilson; five great grandsons; and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by three sisters, Dina Starliper of Mercersburg, Dima Memmi of Chambersburg, and Clementina Memmi of Chambersburg; two sister in-laws, Lee Memmi of Bristol, PA and Miriam Memmi of Chambersburg; as well as a brother, Anthony Memmi of Chambersburg; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, step children, and step grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Stinson; and six brothers, Joseph, Villie, Linsey, Abel, Arthur, and Paul Memmi.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Deacon Richard Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon – 1:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
