Vasiliki Lamnatos

Vasiliki H. “Vicki” Lamnatos, 87, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at her home. Born March 6, 1936 in Neohorion, Nafpaktias, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Periklis “Perry” Panagos and Olga Livaditis Panagos.

Vicki and her husband Chris were the owner/operators of Famous Hot Weiner Lunch in Chambersburg. A loving wife and mother, she dedicated herself to making a home for her family. She was a member of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Camp Hill, PA. Vicki enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling to Greece with her husband for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Hristos F. “Chris” Lamnatos, whom she married on November 3, 1962; two children, Fotios “Chris” Lamnatos of Chambersburg, and Theodora “Dorothy” Katsifis (husband Vasilios “Bill”) of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren, Christopher Lamnatos, Elizabeth Lamnatos Rockwell (husband Jon), Ellianna Lamnatos, Stavros Katsifis, Vaso Chambers (husband Ian), and Christos Katsifis (wife Nicoletta); three great grandchildren, Lucas, Yianni, and Theodora “Thea”; and three siblings, George Panagos, Athanasios “Tom” Panagos, and Theodora Loukopulos, all of Chambersburg. Aside from her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by her son, Periklis “Perry” Lamnatos; and two siblings, Helen Kalathas and Nikolaos Panagos.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 2063 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Fr. Michael Varvarelis will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Orthodox Church at the above address.
