Virgil J. Davis, 67, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born September 22, 1953 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Donald H. and Ethel Pittman Davis. His beloved wife, Crystal Steele Davis, preceded him in death on December 7, 1998.

Virgil was a 1973 graduate of CASHS. Early in his life he was employed at Palmer’s Grocery Store in Chambersburg. He later was employed as a sand blaster at Letterkenny Army Depot and most recently as a Sortation Operator at World Kitchen until his retirement. Virgil enjoyed watching wrestling, John Wayne movies, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Jennifer Faust and husband Michael, April Tracy and Adrienne Davis, all of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Logan Faust, Brandon Crawford, Elizabeth and Serenity Tracy, Jonathon and Kiersten Myers, and Wyatt and Morgan Winebrenner; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Hazzel Myers; three siblings, Linda Harr and husband Morrow of Big Cove Tannery, Lori Pippenger and husband Michael and Donald L. Davis of Vine Grove, KY. In addition to his parents and wife, Virgil was preceded in death by two brothers Benjamin H. Davis and Roger D. Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, December 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Donna Murray will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
