Virginia Behrens

January 19, 1931 — December 1, 2017

Virginia S. Behrens, 86, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday morning, December 1, 2017 at Menno Haven. Born January 19, 1931 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Francess Anderson Seeth.

Virginia was a graduate of Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, NY. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant with the US Department of Health and Human Services for over 30 years until her retirement in 1995. She attended Cornerstone Church of Christ in Chambersburg and was a member of Chambersburg Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Greencastle Lions Club, Chambersburg Noon Lions Club, and the Nitwits at Menno Haven. Virginia enjoyed knitting, reading, and shopping with her daughter and great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband Herbert T. Behrens; three daughters Rhonda Behrens of Pevely, MO, Karen Behrens of Chambersburg, Sheri Stephens and husband David of Chambersburg; step-granddaughter, Victoria Davies; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Davies.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Franklin Fulton Unit, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
