Virginia Crawford-Nas

Virginia K. Crawford-Nas, 67, of Orrtanna, PA, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 31, 1954 in Bedford County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ray S. and Maxine (Cogan) Crawford.
Virginia worked at Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe in Chambersburg for 43 years, from where she had recently retired. Over the years, she worked in many different capacities over the years but most recently was a machine operator. She attended church at the Pond Bank Community Church. She enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music, reading and going to lunch with her friends and family. She also loved to exercise, especially taking walks.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 26 years, Stephen V. Nas, whom she married on July 8, 1995; daughter Sonia A. McGowan of Chambersburg, grandchildren, Kaylee, Brett, Miranda, and Timothy; one great-grandson, Camdyn; and siblings Shirley Pogue of Chambersburg, Linda Crawford of Fayetteville, Guy Crawford of Mercersburg, Clyde Crawford of Chambersburg, Shavon Crawford of Fayetteville, Julie Coldsmith of Fayetteville, Sam Crawford of Kenosha, WI, Debbie Crawford-Hendricks, New Franklin, and Patricia Crawford (Steven) of McLean, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David E. McGowan and one sister, Cathy Marie Crawford.
A memorial service will be held for Virginia on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Jeremy Lehman will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
