Virginia Rothman

Virginia Mae Rothman, 95, of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 31, 1928 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late David H. Whitmore and Berth Gail Washinger Whitmore. Her beloved husband, Kenneth David Rothman, preceded her in death on January 20, 2000.Virginia dedicated her life to making a home for her family. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa A. Ramsey (Richard W.) of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Richard Ramsey (Megan), Joshua Ramsey (Miranda), and Jessica Ellingwood (Brandon Scott), all of Chambersburg; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by two siblings, William Whitmore and Burnadetta Jones.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Fr. Allan Wolfe will celebrate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that memorial contributions be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church at the above address. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
