Virginia Sauter

Virginia Sauter, age 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Providence Place in Chambersburg, PA. Born May 20, 1935, in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Venceza Pascarella Esposito.
Mrs. Sauter was a 1953 graduate of Nottingham High School. She worked for Stanley Day Care for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed antiquing, spending time with family, and going to the beach.
Surviving are three children, Jeffrey Robert Sauter (wife Connie) of Phoenix, AZ and his children, Ben Sauter and Michele Lenne; Michael Keith Sauter (wife Barbara) of Greensburg, PA and their children, Nicole, Mary, Cassandra, and Juliette Sauter; and Debby Sauter Eyer of Chambersburg, PA and her children, Andrew and Jacob Eyer; five great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Rosemary Menapace, Richard Esposito, and Patricia Christiansen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nicholas Sauter, whom she married in 1953 and 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 12:30 PM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA, where the Very Rev. Fr. Luis Rodriguez will celebrate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 6 – 8 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery.
