Virginia C. Shriver, 96, passed away at Menno Village on February 2, 2019. She was born March 1, 1922, in Saxton, PA. She was the daughter of late Herman & Mae Bashore of Saxton and William Curfman of Fannettsburg, PA.
She enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk, her rose garden, crocheting afghans, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Stonerstown Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Willis) Hoover of Chambersburg; sister, Joann Kovensky of Holidaysburg; brothers, William & Norman Curfman of Chambersburg; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melanie) Hoover of Concord, NC; Wendy (Ronald) Gilbert of Chambersburg; Beth Hart of Cooper City, FL; and five great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Landis; son, Gary; and her brother, Charles Curfman.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Spiritrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202 or Stonerstown Church of the Brethren 14th & Norris Sts., P.O. Box 184 Saxton, PA 16678. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
