Vivian Truett

Vivian A. Shover Truett, age 95, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Born in Shippensburg, PA on September 13, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Marion Kappes Shover.

Mrs. Truett was homemaker most of her life. She was a member of King Street Church and a former member of the American Legion Post 46 in Chambersburg. Mrs. Truett was a resident of the Towers at Falling Spring, where she enjoyed the company of the other residents.

The last of her immediate family, Mrs. Truett is survived by two nephews, Greg and Scott Tritle both of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Danzberger and her second husband Edwin Truett, a son, Gary Danzberger in 2004, and a sister, Doris J. Tritle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Ron Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery.
