Wallace Baughman

Wallace J. “Wally” Baughman, 72, of Fayetteville, PA died Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2011 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 6, 1939 in Fayetteville, he was a son of the late Russel Larry and Ida Grace Reed Baughman. Early in his life, Wally had been employed at DeRose Industries in Chambersburg. For most of his life he was involved in automobile sales working many years ago at the former V.T. Angle and Sons and later co-owning East Point Auto Sales in Fayetteville with his brother, Gary. Wally was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed raising and showing horses, automobile racing, hunting, and gardening. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane “Janie” Lowans Baughman, whom he married August 25, 1957; three sons, Wallace J. “Wally” Baughman, Jr., Michael L. Baughman, and Jeffrey A. Baughman all of Fayetteville; three granddaughters, Kristin, Katelyn, and Shayna; a grandson, Ryan; three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gary and wife Barbara Baughman of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
