Wallace Hockenberry

Wallace E. Hockenberry, age 73 of East Waterford, PA passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Born in Doylesburg, PA on January 9, 1940, he was the son of the late Clair W. “Ted” and Frances V. Hockenberry.
A U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam conflict, Wallace served his country honorably. He was a mechanic at Letterkenny Army Depot retiring in 2000 after 20 years of service. A skilled tradesman, Wallace enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, sawmilling, racing, and working on race engines. He was a member of the NRA, AARP, and VFW.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert F. Hockenberry (wife Shirley) of Orbisonia, PA, Norman A. Hockenberry of Dry Run, PA, a half brother, Joseph C. Johnson of East Waterford, PA, and half sister, Vada F. Neil (husband Randall) of Ft. Loudon. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hockenberry.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1 PM in the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, PA; where Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Concord Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, 406 West 34th St., Kansas City, MO 64111.
