Waltraud Lyons

Waltraud “Jo” Lyons, age 85, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Quincy Nursing Home. Born in Wanne-Eickel, Germany on April 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Adolf and Auguste Lehmann. Mrs. Lyons was part owner and operator of “The Boutique” in Adams County, she operated the shop until her retirement 1991. She enjoyed floral arranging, knitting, painting, and cooking.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, John “ Jack” Lyons, whom she married on April 28, 1959, her son, Michael F. Lyons (wife Donita) of Fayetteville, PA, and two grandchildren, Erika Lyons of Blacksburg, VA and Brian Kintzel of Linglestown, PA.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9 from 7 -9 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Corpus Christi Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
