Wanda Lutz

Wanda Z. Lutz, 87, of Fayetteville, PA and formerly of Severna Park, MD, died Sunday afternoon, March 31, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born September 23, 1925 in Syracuse, NY, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Nellie Sikora Zgud. She enlisted in the US Navy and served at the National Security Agency from 1950 until her discharge in 1953. A dedicated and loving mother and homemaker, she was employed as a Real Estate Agent and later worked for a title attorney in Severna Park. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Waynesboro and NARFE Chapter 1063 in Chambersburg. She was an active volunteer with the Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary, and her hobbies included traveling and card stamping.

She is survived by her husband, Howard A. Lutz, whom she married November 4, 1953; her son, Bruce E. Lutz and wife Cathleen O. of Catonsville, MD; three grandchildren, Kelly, Timothy, and Christopher Lutz; and a brother, John Zgud. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Fr. James R. O’Brien at 7:30 PM Friday, April 5, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD.
