Warren Eugene Hoffeditz, 85, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at his home. Born May 10, 1935 in Dry Run, PA, he was a son of the late Harry Eugene and Emma Louella Dietrich Hoffeditz.
Warren was a 1953 graduate of CASHS. He was employed as a carpenter for Garman’s Home Center and later was self-employed as a carpenter and worked with Charlie Diller Plumbing. He was a member of King Street Church in Chambersburg. Warren passed in the home he lived in and built himself. He was a very talented carpenter and enjoyed making furniture in his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and traveling, having been across the US twice to visit different National Parks.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Georgianna Keebaugh Hoffeditz, whom he married on April 25, 2002; four children, Sharon A. Edwards (Rickey) of Chambersburg, Rodney W. Hoffeditz of Chambersburg, Gary E. Hoffeditz (Vickie) of Edenville, and Tony A. Hoffeditz (Dawnell) of Walnut Bottom; daughter-in-law, Teresa Hoffeditz of Chambersburg; four step-children, Georgia L. Peters of Young Harris, GA, Roy L. Deamer, Jr. (Bonnie) of Toledo, OH, Dennis L. Deamer (Doreen) of Akron, PA, and Donna L. Deamer/Hale (David) of Rising Sun, MD; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; and seven step-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnne Zeger Hoffeditz on May 21, 1996; his son, Jeffrey L. Hoffeditz on November 8, 2019; and his brother Gerald Hoffeditz.
A private viewing and graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to King Street Church, 56 North Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L.
