Wilbur C. “Carl” Wilson, age 73, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home. Born October 11, 1942 in Dry Run, PA, he was the son of Wilbert Clair and Margaret Ellen Shanabrouth Wilson.
A U.S. Army veteran, Carl served honorably during the Vietnam era. He worked as a machinery operator for Nitterhouse Concrete Products until his retirement in 2014 after over 30 years of service. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Carl is survived by his wife of 35 years, Delores V. Freet Wilson, whom he married on November 30, 1979; his step-son, Roger Gipe and wife Susan of Elizabethtown, PA; two step-grandchildren, Tommy and Lydia Gipe, both of Elizabethtown, PA; a sister, Cora Hann of Waynesboro; two nieces, Cindy Cary and Patricia Woodring, both of Waynesboro; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
