William Chidboy

William J. Chidboy, 87, of South Mountain, PA, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Paramount Senior Living in Fayetteville, PA. Born June 21, 1934 in Green Township, Indiana County, PA, he was one of fourteen children born to Charles and Anna Phillip Chidboy. Mr. Chidboy was employed as a cook at South Mountain Restoration Center for 35 years and at the same time was employed at Peters Orchard in Gettysburg for 30 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and after retiring enjoyed vacationing with his family. His wife of 53 years, Maxine Martin Chidboy, whom he married on May 23, 1957, preceded him in death on October 20, 2010.

He is survived by three daughters, Leeann Chidboy of South Mountain, Ellie Beaufort (husband David) of Fayetteville, and Patty Migas (husband John) of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Vera Pool, Austin Beaufort, and Natasha Migas; and five great-grandchildren, Sammy, Tyler, JR, Dustin, and Katie. In addition to his parents, wife, and siblings, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sue Ellen.

Services and interment will be private.
