William Drake

William B. Drake, 65, of Chambersburg, PA, died Sunday morning, December 23, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services in Chambersburg. Born September 19, 1947 in Concord, PA, he was a son of the late Boyd and Phyllis Hockenberry Drake. A 1967 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School he served in the US Army Reserve. Bill had been employed at Grove Manufacturing, TB Woods Sons, Inc., Danco Products and retired from Securtas in Harrisburg. He had served as a Sunday school teacher, usher, and was a member of the pastor’s council at the former Church of God on Warm Spring Road in Chambersburg. He enjoyed working on old cars and collecting toys and Hot Wheels.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Rose Drake, whom he married December 26, 1981; his daughter, Billie R. Hopple and husband Brian of Newville, PA; three sisters and one brother.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Patrick Clady officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 9-10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
