William E. “Bill” Pugh, age 65, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 in the Hershey Medical Center. Born September 16, 1947 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Lester and Kathryn Isamay Nye Pugh.
Bill served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, upon completion of his obligation; he went on to work at Letterkenny Army Depot as a Truck Driver, where he later retired. After retiring, Bill worked for S & D Designs and in his spare time enjoyed going to yard sales, antique cars, and landscaping. He was a member of the VFW Post #1599 in Chambersburg, the VFW Post 6319 in Greencastle, the American Legion Post 46 in Chambersburg, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #842 in Chambersburg, and the Marine Corps League in Chambersburg.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonita Hoffeditz and Belinda Pugh; three step-children, Tammy Lewis (Kevin), Terry Williams (Carol), and Billy Williams (Christina); three grandchildren; ten step-Grandchildren; two siblings, Doris Burgner of Chambersburg and Theodore J. Pugh of Chambersburg; and his loving companion, Bonnie Williams. In addition, Bill is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene F. and Lester P. Pugh.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February, 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery, where members of the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to the family to help defray the funeral expenses.
