William E. “Bill” Scheffer, 61, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Fulton County as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born August 18, 1962 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late William L. and Grace M. (Sweitzer) Scheffer.
He was employed as a maintenance and repair supervisor for Delamor Enterprises servicing McDonald’s in Franklin, Fulton, and Bedford Counties. He had been with the company since he was 16 years old. Bill enjoyed antiquing, going to auctions, refurbishing clocks, and drag racing. He loved his pets, especially his dog, Brooster.
Bill is survived by his companion of 27 years, Selena Skiles; son, William J. Scheffer and his wife Abigail; a sister, Debbie Smith and her husband James of Carlisle, PA; a brother, John Scheffer and his wife Elaine of Greencastle, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held, 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
