William Lee “Bill” Wagner, 84, of Saint Thomas, PA passed away on June 16, 2024 at Celebration Villa, Shippensburg, PA. Born April 12, 1940 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ruth Wagner.

Bill attended Carnegie Tech where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering.

Bill was a true people person who effortlessly made everyone he met feel valued and important. Over a span of 39 years, he owned and operated Schoenberger’s restaurant, where he became known as a welcoming presence to all, ready with a smile and a Manhattan in hand. His loyalty extended beyond his patrons to his dedicated staff, with whom he maintained lasting friendships throughout the years.

When away from the restaurant, Bill could often be found tending to his beloved farm, Breezy Acres, where his diverse interests thrived. From riding horses to casting lines as an avid fisherman, cheering on the Steelers during football season, and above all, cherishing moments with his family. Bill embraced life's joys with passion and enthusiasm.

Bill is survived by his children, Ladd (Carol) of Pittsburgh, PA, Adam (Abby) of Chambersburg, Will (Bill) of Zephryhills, FL, and Meredith (Jake) of Carlisle, PA. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Charleigh, Cooper, and Camryn as well as two great grandchildren, Zoey and Jack. He was “Uncle Bill” to Decklin and McKenna, children of Stacey Myers. Bill is also survived by his cherished companion, Debbie Clugston. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Beatrice Wagner Stump.
