Willis E. “Bill” Mansberger, 76, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 5, 1944 in Shippensburg, PA, he was a son of the late Willis E. Mansberger, Sr. and Erma Bender Mansberger; and widower to the late Voneda “Vonnie” Mansberger, who passed away on August 4th, 2021. Bill was a 1963 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School. Known for being a hard worker, he was employed at James River in Chambersburg as a quality inspector for 37 years, before retiring in 2002. He also owned and managed Mansberger’s Petite Real Estate, a dollhouse shop, with his wife. Bill enjoyed woodworking, as well as collecting Lionel model trains and Winross diecast trucks.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Mansberger of Frederick, MD and daughter Katina Grove (Joe) of Shippensburg, PA; three grandchildren, Briana Mansberger, Benjamin Grove, and Julianne Grove; and his brother, Jeffrey Mansberger. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Mellott.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Lester Kauffman will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
