Yvonne Clever

Yvonne E. Clever, age 83 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Friday, February 24, 2012. Born April 13, 1928 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Abram P. and Ethel M. Thompson Leight.

A Proof Reader for the Public Opinion Newspaper, Mrs. Clever retired in 1975 after 15 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, watching NASCAR, and pen paling. Surviving is her daughter, Judy Piper of Chambersburg, three grandchildren, Eric L. Piper, Michael L. Piper (wife Millie), and Lori A. Wileman (husband Dwane); ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Beverly Butts.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 384 Floral Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
