Yvonne Marie Pool, 76, of Mercersburg, PA and formerly of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Born September 22, 1946 in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred W. and Anna M. Gorman Jones.
Yvonne was a 1964 graduate of CASHS. Early in her life she was employed as a secretary for Bethel Assembly of God and Bethel Christian Academy. She was later employed as a payroll clerk with Fitzgerald Toyota, Crown Ford and lastly at Jennings Chevrolet. Yvonne was a member of Bethel Assembly of God and more recently attended St. Thomas Assembly of God. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and doing latch hook.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James E. Pool whom she married on June 25, 1966; two children, James R. Pool (Kristen) of VT, and Robinette Pool of Mercersburg; six grandchildren, Shane McClanahan (Aubrey) of CO, Bryan McClanahan (Ashlyn) of GA, Kara McClanahan of Mercersburg, Jamie Pool (Emily) of VT, Mariah Pool of VT, and LeeAnna Pool of VT; and five great grandchildren, Karper, Mae, Lana, Beckham and Bentley. Aside from her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her sister, Patty Furry.
Service and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
